We are writing to let you know that the Adult Autism Diagnostic Service for Wigan and Leigh (provided by SPTS, Hazelmere Unit, Leigh Infirmary) are launching a new monthly community drop-session. Drop-in is for anyone who has an autism diagnosis or is awaiting an autism assessment. People do not need to already have a diagnosis to attend, but they should suspect they are autistic and be interested in finding out more about autism.
The drop-in is not a mental health drop-in, however it will be a place for autistic adults to meet likeminded individuals, as well as professionals from the autism diagnostic service.
People are welcome to attend with a friend or relative, or come alone. There will be refreshments and a different talk each time about different services, how to access them and how they may benefit autistic adults. People are welcome to come and just listen or ask questions, whichever is most comfortable for them. There will also be members of staff from the autism diagnostic service available for them to ask any questions.
The drop-in session will be held once a month at:
Location: Adult Learning Centre, Walmesley Rd, Leigh WN7 1XN
Time: 1-3pm
